Goalden Globe Awards 2011

Nominations are now open for the South West Goalden Globe Awards – the time of the year when the volunteer workforce is recognised and thanked.  Categories include Coach Award, Murial McNally Award, Officials Award among many others.  To download the nomination forms and for further information please see the Netball South West website at http://netballsouthwest.co.uk/volunteering/goalden-globes.html.

The closing date for nominations is 28th April 2011 and the winners will be announced at the South West Goalden Globe Awards on 10th July 2011.

South West winners will then be put forward for the National Award which will be announced at the England Netball Goalden Globe Awards 2011 being held on Saturday 17th September in Leicester.

Netball Weekend Tournament - Exeter

Click here for details of a netball week end tournament on 16th-17th April 2011.

The tournament will be held over 2 days with box matches on the Saturday and then teams will be regrouped for Sundays play. There will be a morning and an afternoon session on the Saturday and same on the Sunday with teams being split into a plate and cup final. Prizes will be awarded for each section of the tournament. The tournament will be held on the outdoor courts at the University of Exeter, Streatham Campus.

Heather Crouch MBE

East Devon County Netball Association was sorry to hear of the passing away of Heather. Her tireless voluntary work will have a lasting impression on netball throughout the country. A Memorial Day is being held on 19th February to celebrate Heather’s life. Please e-mail for further information.
